Mupirocin Cream Dosage - How to Apply T-Bact Cream?

T-Bact Cream should be used exactly as suggested by your doctor. Your doctor may suggest a dosage depending on your medical condition, age, body weight, other medical conditions, and other current medications. Patients using Mupirocin Cream for the treatment of bacterial infection should apply the Cream only to the affected areas of skin, usually thrice daily or as suggested by your doctor.
Before applying Mupirocin Skin Cream, wash the affected area with warm water and mild soap and dry them thoroughly. Gently rub T-Bact Cream into the area of treatment until the Cream is uniformly distributed. Wash your hands immediately after using Mupirocin Skin Cream. Avoid sensitive areas like the area around the eyes, lips, and nostrils while applying Mupirocin Cream. Mupirocin Cream should not be applied on damaged or infected skin.
A small quantity of T-Bact Cream should be applied to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. The treated area may be covered by a dressing.
Do not mix with other preparations as there is a risk of dilution, resulting in a reduction in the antibacterial activity and potential loss of stability of the Mupirocin in the cream. Adults/Children/Elderly/Renally Impaired/Hepatically Impaired:

T-Bact Cream Mechanism of Action – How Does Mupirocin Cream Work?

T-Bact Skin Cream is an antibiotic which prevents the growth of the bacteria responsible for the bacterial infection. The active ingredient in T-Bact Cream is Mupirocin, which exerts its mechanism of action by inhibiting the activity of an essential enzyme called isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase, which is required for the synthesis of vital bacterial proteins. Bacteria devoid of such essential proteins will not be able to survive, and will eventually die.
