Kz cream Mechanism of Action
Ketoconazole Cream is a boad spectrum synthetic antifungal medication. The active ingredient in Kz cream is Ketoconazole, which prevents the infection by obstructing the formation of fungal cell membrane, thus weakening its integrity and resulting in the spillage of its contents. Studies suggest that ketoconazole impairs the synthesis of ergosterol, which is a vital component of fungal cell membranes. This faulty cell membrane formation eventually leads to the death of the fungus.
Ketoconazole belongs to a class of medications known as imidazoles.
