Heximar-B Ointment Dosage - How to Apply Calcipotriol Betamethasone Dipropionate Ointment?
Heximar-B Ointment should be used exactly as suggested by your doctor. Your doctor may suggest a dosage depending on your medical condition, age, body weight, other medical conditions, and other current medications.
Patients using Calcipotriol Betamethasone Dipropionate Ointment for the treatment of bacterial infection should apply the ointment only to the affected areas of skin, usually once daily for about 4 weeks or as suggested by your doctor. The maximum adult weekly dosage of Heximar-B Ointment is 100 g.
Before applying Heximar-B Skin Ointment, wash the affected area with warm water and mild soap and dry them thoroughly. Gently rub Heximar-B Ointment into the area of treatment until the Ointment is uniformly distributed. Wash your hands immediately after using Heximar-B Skin Ointment. Missed Dose

Store Calcipotriol Betamethasone Dipropionate Ointment at controlled room temperature (20°C to 25°C), protected from heat, moisture, and sunlight.. Excursions permitted to 15°C to 30°C.
Contraindications
Calcipotriol Betamethasone Dipropionate Ointment is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Calcipotriol, Betamethasone Dipropionate or any inactive ingredient present in Heximar-B Ointment.
Overdose
Due to the calcipotriol component of Heximar-B Ointment (Calcipotriol And Betamethasone Dipropionate), excessive administration (i.e. more than the recommended weekly amount of 100 g) may cause elevated serum calcium, which should subside when treatment is discontinued.
In such cases, it is recommended to monitor serum calcium levels once weekly until they return to normal. The symptoms of hypercalcemia include polyuria, constipation, muscle weakness, confusion and coma.
Excessive prolonged use of topical corticosteroid containing products, including Heximar-B ointment, may suppress pituitary-adrenal functions, resulting in secondary adrenal insufficiency which is usually reversible.
If this occurs, symptomatic treatment is indicated. In cases of chronic toxicity, treatment with Heximar-B ointment must be discontinued gradually.

Let your doctor known if you have calcium metabolism disorder, perioral dermatitis (skin lesions around the mouth), ichthyosis (dry, scaly skin), acne, rosacea, ulcers, or broken skin, severe forms of psoriasis (e.g., guttate, exfoliative, erythrodermic and pustular psoriasis), kidney problems, liver disorders, skin eruptions after receiving a vaccination, thin skin, easily damaged veins, or stretch marks, tuberculosis skin lesions or skin infections related to syphilis, viral diseases (herpes simplex, varicella (chickenpox), and vaccinia), viral, fungal, or bacterial skin infections, pregnant or are breast feeding.

Inform your doctor if you are using any drugs containing corticosteroid (eg, prednisone) or other drugs to treat psoriasis.

- Hypersensitivity- burning, irritation, blistering, hives, peeling, itching, redness, rash, stinging, burning, swelling of the skin at the site of treatment
