Lamotrigine tablets are used in combination with other medications for the treatment of partial seizures and generalized seizures of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in adults and children who are at least 2 years old. Lamotrigine tablets are also recommended as monotherapy to patients suffering from partial seizures or typical absence seizures and are currently undergoing treatment with a single EIAED (e.g., carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, etc.) or valproate.
Lamotrigine tablets are used to effectively delay the incidence of mood swings in patients diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
