Buspirone Hydrochloride Tablets (Buspin) - Product Information

Buspin is an anxiolytic medication which contains Buspirone HCl as the active ingredient. Buspirone HCl tablets belong to the Azapirones class of drugs. Buspin tablets are prescribed as short-term therapy for the effective treatment of anxiety and anxiety-related disorders in adults.
Buspirone HCl tablets exert its mechanism of action in the central nervous system by acting on neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine. An imbalance in the level of these neurotransmitters is known to result in the manifestation of anxiety symptoms, such as panic attacks, tension, irritability, light-headedness, pounding heartbeat.
The administration of generic Buspirone HCl tablets, unlike other anti-anxiety medications, does not result in sedation of the patient.
On our online pharmacy, Buspin tablets are available in the strengths of 5 mg and 10 mg of Buspirone Hydrochloride.
We also have in stock Generic Aripiprazole Tablets (Asprito) which are prescribed as oral therapy for the effective treatment of psychotic conditions such as schizophrenia and specific symptoms of bipolar disorder (manic depression) in adults and adolescents who are at least 15 years old.

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient

The active ingredient present in Buspin tablets is Buspirone Hydrochloride. Each Buspin tablet contains 5 mg or 10 mg of Buspirone Hydrochloride.
The inactive ingredients present in Generic Buspirone HCl pills are lactose, monohydrate, cellulose, microcrystalline, sodium starch glycolate, silica, colloidal anhydrous silica and magnesium stearate.

What are Buspirone HCl Tablets Used For?

Buspin 10 mg tablets, manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals in strengths of 5 mg and 10 mg, are commonly used as oral therapy for the treatment and management of anxiety disorders. Buspirone HCl tablets are used as a short-term therapy for the treatment of anxiety symptoms, such as fear, irritability, insomnia, dizziness, sweating, and fast heart rate.
Generic Buspirone HCl pills effectively moderate these symptoms by altering the level of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine in the brain.
The administration of Buspin tablets is effective in patients who have low to moderate intensity of anxiety symptoms and even in patients with depression who display symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder. The administration of Buspirone Hydrochloride tablets may not benefit patients with severe anxiety conditions, panic attacks, or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Buspin Dosage - How to Take Generic Buspirone Tablets?

Generic Buspirone tablets should be administered exactly as suggested by your doctor. Your doctor may recommend a dosage of Buspin tablets depending on your age, gender, medical requirement, body weight, other medical conditions, and current medications.
Buspirone Hydrochloride tablets should be swallowed with a glass of water. Buspirone HCl tablets can be taken with or without food, but you should maintain this consistency throughout the treatment period by taking Buspirone HCl tablets either always before a meal or always after a meal. You should be systematic about the daily schedule for the medication such that you take Buspin tablets at the same time every day, to get the maximum benefit of the medication.
Buspirone HCl tablets are usually administered as short-term treatment of 3-4 weeks at a time unless your doctor has advised you differently. The standard recommended starting dose for adults is 5 mg of Buspirone HCl tablets 2 to 3 times a day.
Your doctor may modify the dosage of Buspirone HCl tablets and treatment period depending on your response to the treatment. The standard recommended daily dosage of Buspirone HCl tablets is 15 mg to 30 mg, which is divided into multiple doses during the day. The maximum advisable daily dosage is 60 mg per day. Patients diagnosed with liver or kidney disorders will be recommended a slightly lower dosage. Buspin tablets should not be administered to children below the age of 18 years.
Continue taking Buspirone Hydrochloride tablets for the recommended treatment period without missing any doses. Do not stop the treatment temporarily even if you feel that your symptoms have cleared, because Buspin tablets can only help control your symptoms, not cure the medical condition.
Please consult your doctor for exact dosing instructions. Buspin tablets (Generic Buspirone tablets) should be administered in the dose prescribed by the doctor and for the duration recommended by the doctor.

Missed Dose

If you miss your regular dose of Buspirone Hydrochloride tablets, take it as soon as you remember. You can continue your regular schedule the next day.
If you remember the missed Buspirone HCl tablets the next day, take your regular dose and skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed dose of Buspirone HCl tablets.

Buspirone Mechanism of Action – How Do Buspin Tablets Work?

Buspirone HCl is an anxiolytic medication which is used by patients suffering from anxiety disorders. Buspirone HCl tablets belong to the azapirones class of drugs. Generic Buspirone HCl tablets ease anxiety symptoms, such as fear, insomnia, dizziness, irritability, and pounding heartbeat. Buspirone is known to trigger the serotonin type 1A receptors on nerve cells, thereby modifying the chemical messages that reach the nerve cells.
Buspirone has also been found to have certain effects on dopamine receptors present on nerve cells, but it is not a major effect of Buspirone HCl tablets.
In contrast to other anti-anxiety medications of the benzodiazepine class of drugs such as diazepam (Valium), lorazepam (Ativan), alprazolam (Xanax), and clonazepam (Klonopin), Buspirone HCl tablets do not result in sedation when administered to patients.
