Asthalin Tablets - Mechanism of Action – How Does Albuterol Work?

Albuterol Sulfate belongs to a class of drugs known as beta-2-adrenergic agonist, which activates the beta-2-adrenergic receptors in the lungs. This stimulation of the receptors in the lungs relaxes the smooth muscles in the bronchial respiratory pathways. Scientific data indicates that Albuterol Sulfate activates the enzyme adenylate cyclase to increase the synthesis of cAMP molecules in the cell.
