Albuterol Rotacaps is used by patients who have developed typical symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchitis and emphysema such as shortness of breath, chronic cough with sputum production, tightness of the chest and wheezing. Albuterol Rotacaps Dosage - How to Use Asthalin Rotacaps?

You should use Asthalin Rotacaps (Albuterol Inhalation Powder 200 mcg) exactly as suggested by your doctor. The recommended dosage of Asthalin Rotacaps for the treatment of acute incidents of bronchospasm is one Rotacap, administered as a single dose. The recommended dosage of Asthalin Rotacaps for the prevention of allergen- or exercise-induced asthma is one Rotacap, administered 15 minutes before an exercise routine or expected exposure to allergen. Asthalin Rotacaps contain Albuterol Sulphate as the active ingredient. Medical History

Albuterol Sulphate Interactions

Albuterol Sulfate is known to have drug interactions with beta blockers such as atenolol (Tenormin), labetalol (Normodyne), metoprolol (Lopressor, Toprol XL), nadolol (Corgard), and propranolol (Inderal); digoxin (Lanoxin); diuretics ('water pills'); epinephrine (Epipen, Primatene Mist); other oral and inhaled medications for asthma and medications for colds. Also inform your prescriber if you are taking the following medications or have discounted their treatment within the past two weeks: antidepressants such as amitriptyline (Elavil), amoxapine (Asendin), clomipramine (Anafranil), desipramine (Norpramin), doxepin (Adapin, Sinequan), imipramine (Tofranil), nortriptyline (Aventyl, Pamelor), protriptyline (Vivactil), and trimipramine (Surmontil); and monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, including isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam, Zelapar), and tranylcypromine (Parnate). Your doctor may need to alter the dosage of your medications or closely monitor your health for side effects.

Albuterol Rotacaps Contraindications

Asthalin Rotacaps (Albuterol Inhalation Powder) are contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Albuterol Sulfate or any inactive ingredient present in Asthalin Rotacaps.
Asthalin Rotacaps are also contraindicated in women who have undergone abortion (potential miscarriage) during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy and in patients who are using beta-blockers such as propranolol for other medical conditions.
