Albuterol Inhaler (Asthalin 100 mcg Inhaler) - Product Information

Asthalin Inhaler, also known as Generic Albuterol is a bronchodilator which contains Albuterol Sulphate as the active ingredient. Albuterol Inhaler belongs to the class of drugs called beta2–adrenergic agonist which relaxes the smooth muscles located in the airways to aid the passage of air through the lungs and thus increases air flow to the lungs.
Asthalin Inhaler is prescribed as oral inhalation therapy for patients diagnosed with various bronchospasm conditions such as bronchitis, emphysema, or COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). Inhalers are used as the first-line therapy for the treatment of asthma. Albuterol inhalation is used to treat or prevent the occurrence of bronchospasm in patients suffering from reversible obstructive airway disease.
Albuterol Inhaler is also prescribed for the prevention of bronchospasm which develops as a result of exercise routines. On using Albuterol Inhaler, the medication moves directly into the airways, relaxing the smooth muscles throughout the airways i.e. from the trachea to the terminal bronchioles, resulting in lesser burden in breathing. In our online pharmacy, Asthalin Inhaler is available in the strength of 100 mcg of Albuterol.

Albuterol Mechanism of Action – How Does Asthalin Work?

Asthalin Inhaler contains Albuterol Sulphate as the active ingredient. Albuterol Sulfate belongs to a class of medications called beta-2-adrenergic agonist, which stimulates the beta-2-adrenergic receptors in the lungs. This receptor activation in the lungs relaxes the smooth muscles in the bronchial respiratory pathways. Albuterol Sulfate is known to activate the enzyme adenylate cyclase to raise the synthesis of cAMP molecules in the cell.
The production of cAMP molecules in the cell is responsible for the therapeutic consequences of Albuterol Sulfate. Increased levels of cAMP within the cell bring about an increase in the action of cAMP-dependent protein kinase A, an enzyme which hinders the phosphorylation of myosin and moderates the calcium levels. When there is a decrease in the amount of calcium in the cell, the smooth muscles in the bronchial pathways undergo a relaxation effect, resulting in bronchodilation. Albuterol Inhaler also impedes the action of bronchoconstricting substances which are discharged by mast cells, obstructs microvascular leakage, and enhances mucociliary clearance. Regular long-term use of Albuterol Inhaler alleviates characteristic symptoms of COPD such as shortness of breath, chronic cough with sputum production, tightness of the chest and wheezing.

Asthalin Inhaler - Missed Dose

If you miss your regular dose of Albuterol Inhaler, take it as soon as you remember. You can continue your regular schedule the next day. If you remember the missed Albuterol Inhaler the next day, take your regular dose and skip the missed dose.
